I will be in NYC next month, and would like to buy a mid priced leather jacket.
I have bought my last few leather jackets from The Leather Ranch (a Canadian company). However, they are going out of business and are just finishing up their liquidation. They produced a great product, and I am sorry to see them go.
I would like to buy a waist length, all season jacket made from a light weight calf leather (I like this leather better than lambskin as it is more durable).
I like leather jackets that have some interesting design to them, such as extra seams or exterior pockets. The Andrew Marc style jackets for example are mostly made out of larger pieces of leather with fewer seams. These jackets are readily available everywhere, and are not as interesting for me as the more intricately styled jackets like I have been buying from The Leather Ranch.
Could anyone reccomend some leather Specialty shops in NYC that I should visit that might sell this type of jacket in the $400 to $600 range?
Thanks for any help.
Jess
