ello. im sure someone has made a similar comment before.. is anyone else not a huge fan of denim?
imo jeans are too easy , and dont really 'add' to an outfit. just because some jeans have a superior quality doesnt necessarily mean they look any better.

Effortlessness is a good thing for most people while being seen as trying to hard is not.

if you're not a fan of denim, why are you posting on a streetwear and denim forum?

With respect to jeans or just about any other article of clothing, the inclusion of "necessarily" makes this literally true, but but (again, whether we're talking about jeans or some other article of clothing) as a practical matter it remains absurd.

I don't think jeans are that 'easy'...look at how many people complain they can't find a good fitting pair

and I also disagree they add nothing to an oufit...sometimes I notice the outfit because the jeans captured my interest first, usually due to a tremendous fit and clean detailing

i wrote up several responses; but really, i think its just a personal matter.
when i put together an outfit, 4/5 times ill opt not to wear my Acne's. and once i got the acne's from denimbar , ive had no desire to browse through the jeans in any store.

getsmart, thats why i always pay more attention to your outfits, its your lack of wearing jeans everyday that interests me.
and see, its still very street wear appropriate attire. his outfits are very effortless and cool.

Same could be said about business/causual attire. Khakis are khakis are khakis are khakis. Or say charcoal pants. Sure, you could talk material, slim/trad cut, and designer but I think jeans are infinitely more complicated by options. Or maybe that's why I'm in this forum and not the gentlemen's club. It's all personal taste and experience.

Whodini said it pretty well. People on MC have 15 different suits and the only difference to most people who aren't on that forum are the different colors and patterns. Obviously the real difference lies in the details(lapels, buttons, psquare, fabric, etc...). Same with jeans and "streetwear"(i put in in quotes because the negative connotations that it brings up). I feel that most of the dress shirts and suits i see the MC guys selling in the buy&sell forum look pretty similar and very boring. A grey suit is a grey suit and same for dress shirts. However, i don't fully appreciate the stuff in MC, so i don't go in there and start telling people they look stale and hardly noticeable from the average business man who wears cheaper suits in the actualy correct size(not including the atrocities). I think most RLPL stuff is really stale and uninteresting, same with other MC brands. I'd never post a thread in that forum about it though. Just as putting together a nice trad/dress outfit is more complicated than it seems, same with great "streetwear".

What else can you wear with a tee besides jeans? Please enlighten me on the various designs of cargo's, khakis, and chino's.

well, when I see a cute girl in a pair of well-fitting jeans, I feel that they add to her outfit exponentially.
Also, even if you don't feel that a good pair of jeans ADDS to an outfit, I think it is at least fair to say they don't detract from an outfit like some articles of clothing can (think Zoobas, JNCOs, parachute pants, old man khakis, sweat pants, tactless cutoffs, you get the point). A good pair of jeans can take a back seat to a sharp sweater or well fitting t-shirt, and can help emphasize a nice pair of shoes.

it's like any other article of clothing...which makes this thread completely ridiculous unless you like to go around caveman-style...
