Holy ****!

I can't believe the Browns picked him up. Texans basically robbed the Browns.

Disagree. Cleveland has way more cap space than they know what to do with, gets a 2018 second round pick and a 6th round pick in exchange for a 4th round pick. Worst case, they park him in the roster for a year and get a bit more draft value. Best case, they trade him to someone dumb.

Yep. This is an NBA-style trade. Browns have cap space, won't be contending next year, and are trying to build for the future, so they agree to take the deadweight contract for draft picks.

Cousins signs the franchise tender.

"YOU LIKE THAT!!!"

I'm now actively rooting for him to play well to **** over the Redskins since it'll be almost impossible to franchise him a 3rd time. If he plays good enough, he could potentially be paid like $70-$80M from 2015-2017.

They were afraid another team was going to trade up for that pick, but Adam Schaffer etc found out after the daft the Niners were bluffing and no one was actually going to trade up.

What makes it even better is the Bears asked Mike Glennon to go to Soldier Field Thursday night to participate in some draft night get together for the fans and team reps. That had to be so awkward when the Bears drafted Mitch Trubisky while Mike was at a Bears draft party.

It's one thing to give up a king's ransom for the next Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. Quite another for a guy with 13 college starts. Trubisky is probably the next Ryan Tannehill.
