I have some pics that I did quick and dirty a couple of months ago of my Gap Skinny Selvedge
they've received frequent wear for over 2 years now and have been washed once

The Gap selvege does stretch out quickly.

My 'test' pair started out tight fitting, but the waist has expanded to a point where I misted the offending areas and popped them into the dryer to tighten them up.

It helped, but of course, they will only loosen back up with wear.

The Gustin's I own on the other hand, after three weeks of wear are still a perfect fit.

Does anyone have pics of the new "1969 Japanese selvedge", though? Or have you seen it in a store?

Looking for a few things, specifically:
- Pics of buttons/rivets.
- Pics of back pockets.
- Is it the same denim as the former "non-Japanese" selvedge?
- Reinforced pocket rivets?
- Is the inseam still oversized ~2"? (former style were true-to-size *when cuffed*)

Here are piccies of the new Japanese Selvedge. I picked up the "straight" fit and they fit like Levi's 514, there are no hidden back pocket rivets, hem is not chainstitched, still has that one dumb blue rivet, showing selvedge on the coin pocket is kinda tacky, they came pre-cuffed, etc. Overall I'm happy for the price. Here's the pics:

currently there is a code "HOL2013"
available until 11/05
usually these codes exclude denim, but this one doesn't

Again GAP is doing the stupid "cuffed" vanity inseam sizing with these.

Here's a pic of two 30" long jeans, one pre-cuffed Selvedge and one not.

As you can see, the Selvedge jeans are ~2" longer than normal. So *size down* if you want to wear these uncuffed.

And, of course, they never carry "28" in-store (really, 30"). Stupid.

FYI, this is:

Get 35% off Gap Merchandise + 30% off Old Navy Merchandise + 40% off Banana Republic Merchandise + 25% off Piperlime Merchandise. Exclusions apply, see legal for details.

if anyone is interested they still had a handful of these still left at the gap by me with an additional 30% off. i picked up a pair of the straight leg selvedge for $27.75 including tax.
Variety of sizes 28-32x30. they had one pair of the Baldwin's (32x32). would be willing to proxy.

Do they have any Straight selvedge in 28" (on the label) length?

i don't think so. the shortest lenght marked was 30. i also did not have a tape measure with me tho so I am not 100% if they were exact.

i tried on the 30's and 29's. could barely get the top button closed, actually i couldn't :embar:

i copped 31 instead. now i am reconsidering my purchase.

Are you referring to the new Japanese denim? I ask because in the past, Gap raw selvedge denim is always 1 to 2 inches bigger in the waist then it's tagged...Blaster can you confirm how many inches they are vanity sized if any?
