For cheaper shirts, maybe Relco? Not too many companies make collars high enough for “the look” these days.

I recommend trawling eBay, Etsy, or Grailed for secondhand Brooks Brothers, J. Press, and Andover Shop buttondown shirts. There are great deals to be had. Many of them, especially J. Press, have the back-of-collar button, and some are even trim-fit. Look especially for “J Press Pennant Label”, as that line was for younger(presumably in-shape) men.

It helps to know your shirt size, e.g. 16.5/34, as many classic shirts go by collar/sleeve size and not alpha sizing.

Happy hunting!
Continental Europe doesn't have many Brooks and J.Press sadly. I'll still try to find good stuff online though... Relco might be a good idea!

Right, my suggestion is to search eBay, Etsy, Grailed, for labels such as Brooks, J Press, Andover Shop(and also Gant, J Crew, Arrow C_um Laude, etc). You can find some real bargains.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
