Saw a near-perfect condition 1992 Greenbrier N3b for sale on ebay. It's got the 50% cotton 50% nylon shell, so it's a matt finish.

Ended up buying it fo £54/$70.
It is missing the white synthetic fur trim on the hood, but luckily I have some knocking about.
Really need to stop now.

@Yorky third from bottom is revealing. It reminds us that ‘controlled clashing’ was not just accepted but almost aspirational back then, which makes me frustrated on the other thread when they moan about the tartan lining of the Harrington peeking out.
I agree Mr K, it has never bothered me at all. I couldn't be bothered having an Harrington relined to prevent clashing as some have done.

Just brilliant Yorky! Thanks for posting, not seen a lot of these pictures before, think you are correct re. The Twisted Wheel photo, there’s a photo of the same guy on Soul Source.
Yes some of the faces often crop up.

Twisted Wheel, ’69-70’ according to Soul Source, double denim with leather pocket details and ‘black power’ northern soul driving glove on the bloke on the right, a bit before my time on the northern soul scene, [1972-1979 although I still have all my vinyl and still collect rare soul to this day, just too old for the ‘nighters!] Still remember a single glove being worn back in the day though, not overtly skinhead but definitely part of the soul scene especially oop norf. Oh yes, the girl on the right, trying to work out if it’s the same girl from my earlier post? just beautiful...........

Controlled clashing - love the term (and concept).

The picture that is captioned “tooled up “ I think is from a contemporary film ( clue - trouser lengths ) and another from that film that is often discussed here ( 70’s one - forget the name) .
The twisted wheel one has one of the guys from the skinhead moonstomp cover in it .

Great pictures btw- nice digging .
