I’m open to all of them. Would appreciate if you have any links you can share. When I’ve ordered fabrics that aren’t branded by a specific mil that I’m already familiar with they haven’t been quite what I was expecting in terms of drape and feel but I have come to love them all.

Hence asking to see what other lightweight fabrics people have and like.

Bonus if you’re able to share any photos.

Thank you!

these are order over the course of quite a few years. I can react to links but I don’t have them sitting in some file just to share 😗

Anyone have experience with these? Looking for a solid pair of jeans. Any recommendations suggested!

What attributes make for a solid pair of jeans for you?

I have pairs in Luxire Selvedge: Black Overdyed Jeans and Luxire Selvedge: Slub Linen Cotton Indigo Jeans.

For jeans I usually wear lightly many times, then get dry cleaned after 5-10 wears or whenever I feel they could use a refresh, so my info on fading/wearing is based on that way of usage/laundry.

Black Overdyed
  • Good solid weight for jeans without feeling overbearing
  • Nice dark black color
  • Fading looks nice so far, pretty subdued from afar, but obvious up close
  • No problems with durability
  • soft, but with comfortable heft/stiffness
Slub Linen Cotton Indigo
  • very lightweight
  • very soft/comfy
  • fading looks nice, pretty subdued again, but looks good so far

Does anyone here have experience with Luxire detachable collar/cuff shirts? I had a pretty rough experience getting a suit from them last year, but shirts seem to be more their thing, and their prices are very appealing.

Why, what happened to your suit? I am planning to copy a bespoke suit in the future 🤔

I wouldn’t expect any issues with suit copying if your sample is bespoke — and their finishing is up there with the very best tailoring houses.

I had a very difficult time communicating with Luxire, particularly when it came to my (admittedly rather specific) design preferences. I had them use a sample jacket to dial in my fit, and the suit jacket I received fit almost identically.

The trouble is that I’d specified areas in which I was dissatisfied with the fit of my sample jacket, almost none of which were improved in Luxire’s final product.

They acknowledged their mistakes and offered a remake, but this came with almost all the same problems. I’m willing to give their shirts a try because I can see that theyre hard workers and imagine theyre a little further along the learning curve in that department.

Does anyone have exp with this fabric?

I find cotton-linen combo are always hard to judge from photos. Curious about how breathable it feels, weight, drape and colour accuracy. I am in the market for a brown linen but this one seems like a decent option as well.

I'd also appreciate some navy chino recommendations. Looking for something that can be worn all-year and still quite comfortable in the summer. Mid-weight. Trying to avoid Dugdale for now as they're far more expensive and I want to nail fit first.

These are the options I am considering. Any recommendations/feedback would be appreciated:

I unfortunately don't think I'm going to be able to get a suit order in time for an event I was hoping to get it by, seems like it was an issue between ordering mill fabrics (Brisbane Moss) and awaiting the fabric order through customs.

Any advice for how much lead time I should try to plan ahead for next time @luxire? More time is always going to be better but I'm curious what the payment in -> fabric ordered from mill timeline is like. Thanks as always.

I would say at the moment its very unpredictable, it can take weeks to get a response on emails an often the replies are questionable

These problems persist, and add in the absolute opacity regarding the recent sale of the brand to new owners.....I've been quite a good customer over the years, but I may sit out for a bit at this point.

Has anyone ordered an in-stock fabric in something simple like trousers with an existing pattern? Are these still being delivered in a timely fashion? (shipped in a week or so)?

I am sitting on a couple jacket orders (in stock fabric and non-stock fabric) till all this blows over. Existing patterns with maybe a sleeve adjustment.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
