Out of curiosity, has anyone else had issues getting in touch with Luxire lately? I ordered a suit and have attempted to follow up several times since Apr 24 without a single reply.

They sent my shirt to me quickly and were very quick to respond with adjustments there, but the suit seems to be a different story.

It's been terrible. Several emails outstanding for over a month with no response on reminders. Very disappointing!

My only experience with them was just over a month ago when I placed my first order and received the first pair and gave them feedback before they made the second pair of trousers. They were proactive and quick in replying to my messages then.

I placed an order about a month ago and still asked few questions on measurements. Everything still outstanding, very disappointing.

Wow, that's a change. It's been a while since I've placed a Luxire orde, but Seema et al in CS have always been quick to respond. I suppose there've been some issues with the new ownership.

Elaborate?
spier mackay offerings I'm salivating that I could order same throught luxire.
Could it be that after ownership change Luxire going more towards tailoring?

This quote from the previous page of the thread is all I have to go on, so I can't elaborate, but I'm sure we're all quite curious.

Can anyone fill us in on the who / when / why of the sale?

I believe Seema is out on parental leave.
Do you know for how long? The feedback I have got so far on my trousers has been highly questionable. I refuse to reply since it will probably take another month to get an answer. To be honest, I have just decided to go the bespoke route now...

No idea unfortunately. I’m hoping soon as they have a shirt and trousers hostage and I need more lol

Since its difficult to get advice directly from Luxire at the moment can I ask the community here for suggestions? Sharing pictures of a recent pair of Chino's Luxire made (Genoa olive green).

My body shape often (and here also) results in creases below the seat area and pulling at the calves. I also find the crotch sits fairly low and has excess fabric.

These pants were a replication of MtM pants made elsewhere, with adjustments proposed by Luxire. These adjustments included:
1. Lower inseam at crotch by 2cm and increase both back and front rise
2. Increase half knee and increase calf. Wondering however if increasing half knee only results in additional excess fabric around the knee.

If you are looking to minimize creases and get more of a drape, you’re gonna have to increase measurements pretty much everywhere.

It is difficult to assess cotton trousers. It is better with heavier wool trousers because they drape better.

Interested in getting a pair of mid-to-dark grey flannel trousers. Mid to heavy weight range.
Would anyone with experience with the following be able to make a recommendation or provide some pros and cons? Having a difficult time deciding.

^Not sure of the difference in fabric b/w the first two, other than stylistic differences.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
