Corrected grain shoes are hard to maintain from any shoe maker, not just Loake. I want a pair of Kew, always love the punch cap oxfords, too bad it's no longer available to purchase, wish it eventually be reintroduced.I have had mixed success with Loakes. The corrected grain shoes are very hard to maintain - any small mark is impossible to cover up. My current Kew chestnut from the Shoemakers Comfort range are doing very well and in light of this brave thread I may seek out some more Loakes... Mine three years on:
