Anybody know which model Schott this is? First time seeing it. I like it,I think it would look better if I cut off the epaulettes a la Fine Creek. It already has a belt and D pockets.

oh really? have you fallen off a motorcycle in a Schott?

Actually yes, I have lol, I had a Triumph Bonneville come out from under me on a section of twisty on a mountain road in TN and slid across 20' or so of pavement in a Schott jacket. Still have it.

Currently only with Aero, Field Leathers, Lewis Leathers and Five Star.
In the meantime, I have inquired with Vanson and Johnson Leather.
The cheapest is Five Star. The catch is that you have to know exactly what you want and how the requirements are formulated. In addition, the choice of leather is limited. Maybe not the best choice for a beginner.
Depending on where you live, Aero and Vanson might be the cheapest option.
MTM usually can't be returned either. So is more of a deal breaker if you don't know exactly which direction to go yet.
Alternatively, look for used ones, although the selection of suitable sizes is extremely small. With me it always fails at the length of torso and sleeves.

What style jacket do you want? And what are your measurements?

Good recommendations - I'll check them out. Interested in double rider for sure, then also in pilot type jackets with fur/sheepskin collar. Torso and sleeves are my issue as well.

Impressive, I am glad you are alive.

But you realize how fortunate you are?

I used to ride and would never wear a fashion jacket on a motorcycle. My close friend rode for years and finally just has 2 Harleys in the garage and isn't going back to them because its so dangerous.
