I'm hesitant because the old vintage slim fit chinos fit me pretty well in the thighs, any slimmer would be a problem, and I'm set on chinos for now, not really itching to drop full price on something I know will be a third of that in a month, I'll probably try 'em on in store.

Interesting. I found the thigh to be a bit roomy. I also thought the cut was strange because it had a very aggressive taper after a somewhat loose thigh. May try out the new ones as I didn't mind the fabric and construction.

How did you find this? I don't see it in the sale section or classifieds, unless I'm missing it. Anyway, hell of a deal- I bought both colors. This is the LEC I know and love.

Just browsed through all the new arrivals. Pretty darn good compared to previous seasons. I like the new Allen Edmonds selections with contrasting laces. I don't know much about Oak Street Bootmakers, but some of those shoes look quite good. And I've wanted brighter colored chinos from LE forever, and finally they're here. Some of the sweaters and jackets are totally wack (I'm looking at you, Fair Isle Blazer), but I like how LE Canvas is always willing to experiment a little. All in all, very cool.

Well, it looks like they are upping the price point (and hopefully quality) of their shoes... but now they're no longer a discount brand in that department.

doubt they upped anything but the price.

On the shoes? Of course the quality is upped. Last season they were selling the usual Lands End made in China crap footwear. This season they have more Allen Edmonds and also Oak Street.

You can make that argument for the clothes, but probably not the shoes.

Shoes aren't made by them so I think it's safe to assume they're as high quality as the brands that made them. Everything else will end up on deep discount just like it always does.

I just bought these at 25% off from Lands End. I like the Red Wing Wabasha boot but don't want to pay top dollar for something that's not recraftable. Canvas has a similar option but with a big Vibram sole and a name brand. I'm going to swap for some rawhide laces if I keep them.

I too have some Oak Streets from the recent collab and the trail oxfords are pretty much one of my grail shoes. I've long been a fan of the LL Bean blucher moc and Oak Street does the moccasins right..

Since they came a month ago I've been wearing them every day pretty much and they are supremely comfortable.
