I'm surprised they aren't available in black. I wouldn't buy them though, as I already have the plaintoe balmorals in black. I think they are great. They look almost identical to the captoes with the obvious exception of the line across the front

No, because I already have the plaintoes, which are more versatile than black captoes since you can wear them for black tie.

I wear the same size in C&J as my shoes.

Yes, you need US 7. The plaintoe will be restocked in about six weeks.
