Any cashmere beanie owners ever had to dry clean it? I thought I lost mine but found it in a puddle outside my place, it was obviously soaked in the rain.
How dirty did it get? ... If it was too dirty with mud, I would "Hand Wash" it with Woolite (colors) in Cold.. don't wring.. swirl it around... then wrap or roll inside towel, press to remove excess water... repeat with more dry towels until damp dry.... shape and place flat in towel to dry.. preferably around where the sun is or air dry. Do not hang. If you have a cap dryer mold or a mannequin, wig head (Styrofoam or plastic), place in there to dry.... or Dry Clean and see how it works.

Thanks for the reply, it actually didn't get dirty at all, just completely soaked in rain water and has a concrete smell. Was thinking about woolite hand wash but my options for drying it are slim considering there isn't much outdoor space in my apartment, will probably have to dry clean it, just hope they don't ruin it.

Dry Clean is a good option, but would it take the concrete smell? .. have them spot treat it.... or, try the hand wash and you can always dry it anywhere in your apartment, or better yet in your bathroom. If you have a hanger (with Clips) clip it and hang it on the shower rod.. I hope it helps!

Typically, I'd say only dry-clean cashmere. I don't have the beanie, but having experience with cashmere, I'd say it's unlikely your beanie will be the same again, fit-wise or structurally. Since it was already soaked in water, you might as well try a cold hand-wash and air-dry.

My experience with dry-cleaning and odors: There's nothing "dry" about dry-cleaning anyway. The garment is completely submerged in liquid, but instead of water, the liquid is a mixture of solvent and soap. My dry-cleaned JE Pigtail Mercer sweater came back one time smelling like a wet dog. I think they threw it in with a rug or something.

I wore my Sahara’s for the first time today, and I noticed there were little red spots scattered around. These were hung up immediately upon arrival and haven’t been anywhere, that would allow anything to hit them. There were 2 in the front near inside leg, and a couple more near the ankles... anyone else experience this before?
