Recently tried on a JMM-like frame, the Godard from Corner (<orner) Eyewear. Made in Sabae Japan. Supposedly crafted in the same factory as JMM but who really knows, I think most of Japanese-made glasses come from Sabae? Great quality for the price. Paid around $300 US. Still not quite JMM but pretty close. Color is olive, a variation of the JMM Rover. They have nosepads which I haven’t worn in a long time. Going to put photochromic/transition lenses in and give them a try.

Nice color...

Are you in Japan, or did you use a proxy service?

I bought them directly from their website:

Shipped pretty quick, arrived less than 2 weeks later.

These look good although emphasizing my beef with rover that it looks almost black in some light like your on the face pic. What do you reckon - closest in style to a Jeff?

Yeah pretty close maybe the Corner a bit thicker on the frame. Took a Quick Look at their website but it’s a nightmare for a gaijin!
For sure a little risk involved. I reached out directly to Corner to inquire about purchasing a frame. They recommended the linked site. Would like to try in Julius Tart frames as well, but not sure they ship to the US.
