Flying to LA tomorrow and could visit the JMM gallery in Costa Mesa, Venice or Palisades at some point over the next few days. Are any better/different to the others? Can I expect to find any nice surprises, or items not released online yet (e.g. Julien sun)? Thanks!

IMHO, Palisades is the smallest of those you mentioned. Not sure if it was intentional, but you didn't mention Hollywood as an option, which is pretty much their "flagship" or HQ, even though it was the second gallery opened (after Venice).

Each gallery will have their own gallery-exclusive acetate, though inventory will vary depending on gallery and specific model. For instance the Costa Mesa/South Coast Plaza gallery released its four gallery-exclusive frames (Dealan, Zephirin, Vendome, Lacy) two weeks ago today, each in a limited edition of only 25. These gallery exclusives aren't available online.

As part of the release event, they also received a large briefcase of frames with customized lenses, which were included in the purchase price. Some were very limited edition, including a Kellerman in Bronze that was a 15 frame release, and was purchased at the event. Some of those special event releases might still be in stock and wouldn't be found online.

That is very helpful, thank you! I only missed out the Hollywood store as we are driving up the coast, but if it’s worth it we could do a detour. I’m meeting some friends in OC tomorrow night then driving up to LA then on to SF with a few stops along the way.

Would love to see those in store exclusives.

Thank you!

Costa Mesa released some exclusive frames a couple weeks ago: Dealan, Vendome, Lacy, and Julien. But I doubt they're available. I sent my Vendome back because it didn't really fit me. The colorway is very understated with black faceplate, very dark blue/grey/black tort arms, and an exposed silver wirecore.
Personally, I would go to the Venice store.

Yeah so no. Here I am tonight minding my own ding dang business watching MNF (Monday Night Football) when a commercial comes on featuring hip hopper Jay Z’s wife. Guess what she as wearing. Go ahead. Guess! Correct. JMM (Jacques Marie Mage. The Silverton to be exact. For Pete’s sake!

Edit: I lost track of my days. It’s actually TNF (Thursday Night Football). Sorry for any confusion or consternation I may have caused you all.

I've been to the Costa Mesa boutique.
I don't like having to have a chaperone while browsing, which is what they require.
I'll probably take them up on the free frame clean they say is coming though.

I don’t have a desire to travel much anymore, but if their policy is to guard you or heckle you or pressure you while simply browsing, then I’ll have nothing to do with it.

I’m not an expert but, I just received a pair from an older collection (2016). More specifically, the Cherokee in Burgundy sku: JMMCK24 RX

My question is, did this pair have RX etched with the sku on the frame? I’ve had one other pair of Cherokee’s (in brothers possession now) in smoke (with sun lenses) and was comparing the two last night. Everything from the thickness of frames, build quality, font sizing & font itself including weight are all dead on. I couldn’t tell a difference between the two, other than the color difference.

Are these legit? I’m fairly certain they are however, I’ve just never seen the RX at the end of the SKU on the frame.

Really appreciate any help/guidance I can get for these older Specs
