Just got my fourth JMM frame (Godard) and my favorite to date. Issue is comfort. The glasses look sick, but squeeze my head. I have the Julien, Jax, and Shibusawa, all of which I find super comfy. Wondering if the Godard may just be too narrow for my melon or if it's possible to adjust the super thick acetate temples? The Godard have more of a paddle shape rather than a hook/bend. Is it a lost cause or can they be adjusted? Thanks.
I think it depends on how hard that squeeze is. A good optician with JMM experience can make them a tad wider, but not by much. The other trouble you run into with this is that if you were to ever try and sell them on the secondary market, you would maybe try to get them back to a "normal stance". It is hard to get them back to normal once you've widened them.

Looking forward to checking out the Last Frontier drop on Wednesday. Wouldn’t even mind some re-releases but in more interesting colors. Think I’m tapped out on tortoise style frames. And confirmed I don’t find the solid black frames unique enough to justify the price (having bought a few and either returning or selling them).

IANGTL, i agree. I think the plain solid colors, especially black, just don’t cut it for the price. For the price, there best be some complexity. Straight up.

Yup been saying this for a while now. Obviously black and some version of brown tort are always going to be fast sellers due to their versatility but collectors / nerds like us usually have those two colours well and truly covered so we’re looking for something at least a bit more exotic.
LFs are so obscenely expensive I usually breathe a sigh of relief when I see the new releases and don’t find them kop worthy! I have black Rawlins which are a great frame that suits me and is very versatile so it would take a lot to make me part with $1.8k again.

We all like to see amazing and unusual colourways, but when it comes to choose, the least of us will opt for the more extravagant and out there colours, going instead for the safer and more usual ones.

I really like the Fontainebleau Daisy and have been considering to get it, but finally gave up because it's not versatile and too extravagant, and a cosplay use wouldn't justify the purchase.

I'm not a fan of all black, but the different Noir colourways are highly appealing to me. As solid black frames I only have two models in my JMM collection, the Pasolini Orion and the Nakahira Black, and I think that they look great in that colour.

Otherwise I prefer brown colourways and own lots of frames in the different shades, plain or mottled.
I also like greys, yellows and greens.

Huh? You do realize LF V, part 2 launched/released last Wednesday, right?

Oh wait, or do you mean you're going to physically check them out this Wedneday? If so, there are some great colors and frames!

Guess I misunderstood what Wed March 27, 2024 means per the IG post. 😁 Plus I didn’t see anything new on the site.

Should’ve looked into JMM a bit more before asking where they were located… they’re really expensive! I assume a portion of the price is craftsmanship/quality, but most of it has to be design right?

Any other brands that are similar for lower price points? Just trying to explore options and not shelling out 800+

ah ok. that's when the media campaign rolls out

but LF V, p2 is already available in JMM galleries. Some people on the FB group already purchased frames and some who are having theirs shipped are even receiving them as early as tomorrow

[edit: originally posted some photos of LF V, p2 but I voluntarily took them down to not spoil the media campaign that JMM has planned for Wed Mar 27]

There's a pretty decent secondary market for JMMs out there for less than retail. Also many of the frames listed on both BST groups on Facebook sell for below retail price

mb. here are photos of some of the new releases (Belvedere, Truckee, and Mojave). I've tried on some of them already. Though not pictured, the Mojave is also available in Tobacco
Thank you sir. Guess those are the folks who ordered at the trunk show. Folks are understandably tight lipped about sharing pre release info. None of those look like $1900 frames, but hopefully I’m mistaken and there are some gems.

Some of them yes. Others just called a JMM gallery and ordered. One of the FB group members contacted Palisades gallery this past Friday and purchased a new LFV release

Most of the buzz I've been hearing are about a frame that would appeal most to those who like the Ascari or shorter frames (eg Jeff, Ashcroft, etc.). Someone also likened it to the Kirwin, if you're familiar with that earlier LF frame

The other LF V new models strike me as more female-oriented frames given their larger rounder silhouettes, but that's just imho. I'm sure many guys can pull it off too

Another rumor, given the interest I've seen on this board, is that the Earl in two colors (gold and silver) arrive at galleries this week for those who pre-ordered. The Earl in Empire isn't anticipated until sometime late next month or maybe even May

The Earl was described to me as having intricate, minute details and design features similar to the Pasolini. Can't wait to see!
