Yup been saying this for a while now. Obviously black and some version of brown tort are always going to be fast sellers due to their versatility but collectors / nerds like us usually have those two colours well and truly covered so we’re looking for something at least a bit more exotic.
LFs are so obscenely expensive I usually breathe a sigh of relief when I see the new releases and don’t find them kop worthy! I have black Rawlins which are a great frame that suits me and is very versatile so it would take a lot to make me part with $1.8k again.

Someone posted a fit pic on social media of one of the new LF releases in Noir. He described it as "Jeff's on steroids"

I'll wait until after JMM drops officially this Wed before asking his permission to repost the fit pic

Better progressive lenses e.g. zeiss smartlife 3 require five precise measurements to assure the right fit. Costco doesn't offer such service and further doesn't have access to the high end lenses. For best results, you will need to locate a smaller independent optician who is capable and willing to offer high quality service. There are very very few such opticians and most likely they don’t take insurance.

Agreed. Problem is that I have too many JMM frames to not go with insurance...

When did you have Costco do your lenses? I asked my local Costco if they could do my JMM (Jaques Marie Mage) frames oh about three ago, and it was an immediate hard no.

The Yves were done in late 2019 and in the spring of 2020 Costco refused to do the Enzos

A wicked rad lens is so expensive now. Dog dang near $700 for Trivex in a flash mirror with fashion tint on top of photochromic with back side AR (antireflective). These frames deserve a “wow” lens. JMTCWIYDMTI.

I just got an email from JMM which connected to the LF stable but I didn’t see anything earth shattering there. Rawlins in some kind of brown Havana look decent and I always liked rover but not the gold on the arms. Didn’t see anything like a Jeff on Steroids. There may be more on Wednesday but if that’s the case the timing of this email full of golden oldies is a bit weird!

Got the same email. It does say the new collection arrives Weds 27th.

Two more gems have been added to the collection, Ari Dark Havana and Loewy Marigold have finally arrived from Canada.

Very pleased with them. Unfortunately I had to pay additional 350EUR for customs and import taxes. That's why I always prefer to buy in Europe.
