I think they’re great for both optical and sunglasses, BUT I wish they were just a little bit wider.

The lens width is 55, which seems already pretty much to me, although the size is given as medium. Of course, all is relative, but I think that such a width is suitable for the most faces.

Yeah so no. I was watching the latest The Fast and the Furious movie, and what did I see? One of the main characters was wearing some JMM (Jacques Marie Mage) frames. They looked like Thunderclouds. I wasn’t too familiar with the actor, but he was a big feller. I did a search of the world wide wide to find his name is Jason Mamoa. This brand is getting too much attention if it’s showing in blockbuster movies!

I’d be happier with a 58 and a desription of “wide” to make me confident that it would fit my big ole face.

To his credit, Mamoa was likely wearing JMM before you were. He’s been spotted with them for quite some time.

Any idea how long? I’m curious, especially as I’ve been into the brand since oh about page 400 of this bulletin board. If that feller has been into the brand longer than me, I’ll have to eat a little crow after i remove my foot from my mouth.

I see your point, but the most people will likely be glad with a more modest size, me included.

By the way, you will find huge frames for sure in their collections.

Ok, I’m not sure if you constantly referencing you being around here since page 400 is your shtick and you’re saying it tongue in cheek or you’re seriously all about that. I mean you prob have mentioned it at least 10 times. I honestly don’t know when Mamoa got into JMM. You can check out his Instagram page (prideofgypsies) and see the first time he posted a pic with JMMs on, and that may give you a rough idea.

Actually did some of the leg work for you. This was posted July 2021. I’m sure you can find others predating that because he certainly owned JMMs before posting with them on. Appears he has both opticals and sunnies. Curious enough, Mamoa also has his own sunglasses brand, which he’s posted about.

These are awesome. I just purchased a pair of nakahira and ashcrofts but I might need to splurge on these 😂 I’ve been really wanting a pair of navigators or aviators and this is really scratching the itch for me.

Two different shades on the same day?
Thats JMM baller right there!😁
Gotta do the wardrobe change! I do that sometimes in Chicago. Wake up in the morning and it’s all cloudy, so wear lighter JMM shades to grab coffee. Then midday☀️ actually comes out, then go with the darker lenses.

This ol' feller is speaking the truth. I've always said t'is better to keep the mutt down on the farm (KMDF) and change the yeller for another, instead of working the dog down for no change (DDNC).

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
