I'm wearing a 8EEE in Allen Edmonds. Will the indy boot fit properly in a size 8?

Going to take advantage of the sale this time! too bad ship dates are in Feb.

Hi all,

I've been looking for a slim blazer/sportcoat, and saw this one on sale today at JCrew for 25% off, so around $208 total.

What do you think of the quality? $208 seems like a lot to spend on a mall brand sportcoat.

Like: Overall fit, double vent, no functional cuffs, button stance is not crazy high
Dislike: Lapels are quite slim

Just go for it, or is there a better option in a similar price range? ( Uniqlo I believe has something similar at $129, but I'm not in nyc )

on their website, j. crew says to measure your neck at the adam's apple, while basically everybody else says to measure it just underneath the adam's apple. j. crew's way leads to a shorter measurement, about 1/2'' shorter. so if you wear a size 14'' collar, you should get an xs shirt that they say is 13-13.5'', amiright?

also, i'm seeing anything from 15.5-17.5'' shoulders in xs, which i'm guessing is due to inconsistencies in how they're measuring it. how wide is it at the widest point, measured at the top edge, not the shoulder seam lower on the back?

I wear a 14.5" collar in most shirts, and I can button an XS J. Crew shirt with one finger room. You should be fine with the collar measurement.

Do the j crew x Alden Indy come in a size 8? Website shows 8.5 and up but thought they may just be out of 8 right now.

i'm still amazed the 25% off still works on aldens for what almost over a year you think by now they would have noticed and fixed it.

Pretty sure they know about it....they are still making money selling at 25% off. I'm guessing sales have been slow and they are looking to generate some cash flow.

lol the Crew is still making a killing at 25% off. But seriously, the anti-Jcrew sentiment that has arisen on the net has really hurt their sales. They had their run though.

is that more brown or red? it's really hard to tell on the J. Crew site. Do they work with grey or black pants or are they too brown?

Anybody have the inside track on any Cyber Monday or holiday deals? I wanted to buy some stuff now but wanted to try in store first, and I know the 25% off ends on Sunday...

How's the sizing on the shirts? I thought I saw some recommending sizing down on some of the latest pages, but I can't for the life of me find those posts now. I usually wear M.

And how's the sizing on the sweaters? Their own measurements fit, but you all know how in-house measurements go..
