I bet @Sam Hober will have the definitive answer on this, but my understanding is that Tussah silk is made by a different species of silkworm -- my impression is that this species doesn't feed on mulberry leaves. Shandong silk refers to a type of slubby silk weave made from mulberry silkworms.

Tussah silk is very interesting and rarely made into ties.

Mostly from the north of India and usually the moths feed on oak trees in the wild. breakaway01is correct.

Shantung silk is a rough weave of normal silk historically from China.

I think you’d have to ask Exquisite Trimmings directly if those ties are actually made of tussah silk but honestly I’m not sure why it matters?
