Cutting on a marble board is very bad. Gives you dull knives. Please get a cheap wood board.

Very nice stuff.

LOL your link reminds me of myself when I was first on WW years ago. It was fun and a real rush to get into that. Posted a lot there, but then as always I found it less and less compelling. Still lurk ocasionally there and participate irregularly on a couple other fora.

Nice bike. Good job!

black is nice, but it was only a color difference, plus it the whole groupset I got was rock bottom pricing.

Turned out well. I think the Easton fork is fine (I mean the colors). The old Trek c-f forks were tanks. I would ditch the USE Alien, sorry. That sp is just a royal PITA all around. Hated it. I would ditch the bell too. You save 42g + the air you exhale when you whistle!!!

Otherwise, looks pretty good.

I've been selling a lot of my WW stuff; just not into gram counting anymore...but it was a fun phase and some of those WW guys are not only fun fanatics but also quite good mechanically. Don't get caught up in the super-light-stuff-that-will-go-south-on-you, though...not worth one's hide.

I'm curious: during my time on WW the equation went basically from $1/gram saved to $2/gram saved when I got tired of it. What's the average $/gram ratio now?

The USE seatpost is weird for me. Its a newer version that has the one bolt adjustment. The adjustment is fine, but the damn thing slides down after a hard ride. I just applied some carbogrip (which is suspiciously seems like spray on model airplane glue) and reversed the seatpost clamp.

I'm done with the weight weenie stuff. The only reason I went all out with a Fork and Red is because I can always slap it onto a older titanium frame (my future plan is to find a merlin exralight that was still Massachusetts made), plus the trek frame and fork can still be sold on eBay as a collectable.

I just don't trust/like the USE, nor the limited setback. And I don't trust carbon paste. On a seatpost? No way.

Did you keep- the original Trek fork? Then, yes, f/f as a minor collectible. Frame + Easton, not so much. I'm assuming you are referring to the original Trek fork above.

Depending on your size, that planned Extralight may be a bit noodly (and will limit your choices). I can definitely talk with you about ti frames, if you want, but probably better in PM. I don't want to hijack the thread.
