Update: Here it is after a wash/dry. My new Nudies as well!

I just got my AA shirts in the mail toady, and I was wondering how the fit is. This pic is an asphalt shirt unwashed, as I don't want to wash it if the sizing is bad. should I keep the small and wash it?

they shrink significantly if you dry them in the dryer instead of hang drying them

You could definitely go a size down, unless you're into the slouchy look.

And if you buy your shirts off the AA website, you should consider using a wholesaler instead-- there are plenty available on e-bay, all of which sell the 2001 model for around $8 after shipping.

Oh, and a quick note: the shirt is way too big for shrinking to help. You'll get about an inch of shrinkage, and the sleeve flares will not lessen significantly. Save yourself the post-wash trauma and exchange them for a smaller shirt.

This shirt fits well in my opinion. If you go down a size and happen to dry it, you might as well throw it away. Stay with the size you have now.

So I should go down to an extra small? I'm worried it'll be too short if I do since i'm 5'11".

I'm not sure about the 50/50. The 2001 already fits like a cloth toilet paper roll-- slim and very very long. So it might be advisable to go for a smaller 2001 rather than the slimmer 50/50. I've never actually worn the 50/50, though.

So yes, I would go for the XS 2001. From e-bay, of course.
