Hey guys was hoping to get some recommendations, will be in Houston until Friday, April 23rd. Looking for both streetwear and finer menswear.Have heard Galleria Mall is good and will certainly be heading there.

Any great outlets/outlet malls? I have never really liked outlets but I'm living in Canada and heard the US ones are a lot better.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Finer menswear European ( Italian ) style would be A Taghi ( across the street from the Galleria ) or Luchos in Uptown Park ( I think ).

Traditional stuff ( Oxxford, Hickey Freeman ) would be Norton Ditto or Harolds in the Heights.

I would second Katy Mills as best for outlets but it's a good 20-25 miles from the Galleria, so plan on allocating some time for the round trip and shopping.

There's a Saks Off Fifth and a Neiman Marcus Last Call at Katy Mills 30 minutes due west of downtown on IH-10. There's also a Saks Off Fifth in Stafford on 59, just before Sugarland. As others mentioned, there's a new Nordstrom Rack right across from the Galleria. As for finer mens wear, there's Saks and Neiman in the Galleria, each of which have a broad selection. There's also M. Penner in Uptown, Norton Ditto in the Upper Kirby area, and Harold's in the Heights, located as named. Hamilton, for some of the best custom shirts in the US, is on Richmond Ave., about a mile or so west of the West Loop. Good luck.

Thank you gentlemen for all of your recommendations! Looks like I have at least a full day ahead of me on Wednesday possibly spilling over to Thursday.

Any recommendations for a restaurant serving crawfish in either downtown Houston or the Woodlands area?

Ragin Cajun is a local favorite for crawfish. Consistently decent. There's one in the downtown tunnels, but probably best to visit the one on Richmond near 610.

I'm not a crawfish fan, but I'll vouch for Ragin Cajun. It's a good place to eat, and the Richmond location is very close to the Galleria, which is someplace you'll probably go.
