@Citan1145 , I think you would really benefit from letting out the waist a tad in most of your jackets...today's included. That nitpick aside, it's a nice look.

ISO, I really like that suit colour on you. If you like black, I think a black velvet jacket is a good option. Especially considering your line of work. I have one that gets a lot of wear when going out to clubs etc. I have no idea if that's SF approved though.
you get much more versatility out of the charcoal worsted.
now...if it was a black corduroy double-breasted suit...that would be a different story...
I feel like that's a thing but I guess I can't really confirm it. I do have a black suit though, I might wear it at some point if I find the occassion for it.Us NE Asians can wear black and look good. All these white folks think what applies to them applies to everyone else.

This was my reasoning while getting dressed in the light this morning. The shirt is purple and orange. The tie is purple with green and orange paisley. The cardigan is purple as well which harmonizes with both the tie and the shirt. The pants are green which is echoed in the pocket square and the paisley of the tie. Lastly, the light brown corduroy warms everything up and highlights/matches the orange in the shirt. I think the textures and patterns work fine together. If you think the shirt and tie together are too busy, I can understand that, but I don't mind them. I've heard various accounts as to neat paisley ties with "country" attire, but again I don't mind it. This was all intentional. I did not get dressed in the dark. I think my outfit is very coherent, but may lack harmony because of the shirt and tie. Is that what you mean? Do elaborate. Thanks for the feedback.Sheesh.. did u both get dressed in the dark? There's no coherence or harmony in either of these fits. Adiron, you're new, so keep trying, but AAS you should know better.
Half a year to a year back I had this idea in my head that I want a black DB suit, to which everyone shouted NO! so I contented myself with a charcoal glen plaid one. Part of me still wish this were black, but I quite like it, feels sharp in a sufficiently subtle way.
Black corduroy? I've never heard of such a thing being made, have you seen this somewhere? I've seen black cord trousers look better than I expected though, so I can see how that's a thing.
