Whaddaya mean, "an outfit?"

@YRR92 I mean like a designer put it together, too studied. I have a nice dark brown grenadine and tan shirt that works with a medium brown wool square, but the look is as if its the only way I can wear all 4 items.

This looks good below, but a little too perfect if that makes sense.

That's nice, but the very limited color palette can be a bit much for me (and I'm a William Eggleston fan).

Dressing in shades of one color (what you're describing) can be a bit much, but sometimes cool browns can be tricky to pair with other colors (relative to warm browns). That's what you're seeing there with Yukio.

You got a navy repp tie with some kind of stripe? And, if you're lucky, a hank that has some of the stripe's color in it? Try that with a light blue shirt.

@Isolation

I think you over-corrected from the skinny trousers. Something in the middle in terms of leg width might be a good idea, and it seems like those are probably too loose in the seat. The problem with skinny trousers is that they don't drape cleanly, and that they can make a well-tailored top half look too big. But if the pants are too loose, the fabric just hangs on you and, again, fails to drape cleanly.

EDIT: Based on the photo in the other thread, they desparately need to have a crease put in them. That might go a long way to making them look good. They might not be perfect, even then. But they won't look like sweatpants with cuffs.

Good fits all around, gents. I'm really jealous of those of you who live in cold climates. Since I've moved back to Saigon, I can't layer up anymore. Boring shirt+slacks every freaking day.

Dislike the PS in the 2nd pic, but you get a thumb on the strength of everything else.

Yeah, non-white, non-cream solid hanks aren't popular 'round here. But I thank you for your consideration. :)

My tie knot is off-center for some reason. Let's call it sprezzatura.

Loitering there might get you some undesired attention from the police, no?

Fella in a taxi pulled up nosing around, so I bluffed it out pretending I was taking pics of the site. He hung around so I carried on, got hacked off with him so walked towards his car and he pulled off (TWSS) :nodding:
