Looks great dude.

I've actually found that tie looks better with a spread collar shirt than a button-down collar anyhow…

First post in a while—my normal pic-taking spot was covered in 8-10 inches of snow for like 6 weeks and I was ambivalent about shoveling it. But spring is nigh in Cincinnati, so here I am once more.

Well as he's just demonstrating he's an unabashed troll, and he thinks because everyone thinks it's endearing he can say whatever rude things he likes and he'll get away with it with at worst a slight rebuke, and everyone will laugh it off as just noodles being noodles. If "being noodles" is being a prick and never trying to change and be less of a prick then I find nothing excusable about "being noodles".

What people do when they can get away with things under pretenses is most illuminating as to their character, so it's entirely not surprising that Noodles acts like a normal person IRL where he has to be held accountable for his actions but on the internet especially against a not very popular poster he can do whatever he pleases. I despise people like that.

Hi guys. Am I the only one wearing a boutonnier? Why? All members in SF have elegance and style so what can enhance your style more than a flower in the button hole? (This one is from The Gentlemans Gazette / Fort Belvedere, and I have others from A suitable wardrobe)

This is a splendid look!

I would like to be wearing a boutonniere more often.

Like Isolation's pants, your shirts consistently are let down for an otherwise decent fit. You'll prob wear a suit or white coat occasionally as an MS1 and MS2, so invest in a few nice spreads from Luxire or Kamakura before you buy anything else.

To be fair, shirt collars are the absolute hardest thing to get right at RTC's and my end of the market. I'm lucky I like OCBDs so much, because those are a little easier to come across.
One of those SC's that makes it difficult to wear without looking like an "outfit". Hence the green dotted square. Any advice on colors for shirts and ties with this are welcomed.

Best,

DL-
Whaddaya mean, "an outfit?"

@SeaJen

I like that, but I think a bit of pattern or something on the braces wouldn't go amiss -- not sure if I love the solid tie and solid braces right next to each other like that. But that's a nitpcik, and the suit is amazing (cloth and tailoring).

Iso -- I like the DB, though I wish the pocket flaps were a little bigger. I think the quarters are too closed on the brown jacket, but the DB works better. The dramatically flared skirt is a nice touch. I also think (as my post yesterday probably indicates) navy DB blazers are a great way to wear OTT ties.

But I'm afraid MF is right about your pants. Maybe a better crease would help, but it wouldn't be the whole fight.

@YRR92 I mean like a designer put it together, too studied. I have a nice dark brown grenadine and tan shirt that works with a medium brown wool square, but the look is as if its the only way I can wear all 4 items.

This looks good below, but a little too perfect if that makes sense.

Without the matchy PS (and perhaps without the scarf as well) it would look great. It's those little details that make it look too studied. Give it a try next time.
