Thank you for the advice guys!

I used to wear solid ties for this jacket since it has very pronounced patterns.(Sorry for the bad knot)

However, I wanted to try patterned ties with this jacket, resulting in the disaster above. :)

@acconrad I can hardly go fitter than this, considering my body and age. Maybe, you felt so because I unbuttoned the jacket. :(

@LJ1891 Yeah, I read the book. I thought the large spacing of shirt could ease the patterns up, but failed. :oops:

I took some advice from you guys. What about this? It doesn't still look good to me though, better than the previous one? Maybe just stick to solid ties. lol

A relevant improvement indeed, in both outfits.

@Thin White Duke missed your question on the tie. It is from EG Cappelli.

@Encore awesome combination. Very pleasing.

Brought the brown into suburb…

Did you spontaneously know how to speak Italian when you looked in the mirror? Haha

But seriously, nicely done my guy. Brought the brown to the ‘burbs. A little slice of Italy To America. Grazie

Thanks man. I do like to pretend it and go back and forth from sheep herder in my mind.

However thanks to my genetics I often get mistaken for Italian or Greek. So I always get them trying to talk to me in Italian whenever I am in Italy. I started working on my Italian on duo lingo to help facilitate it next time I visit. Maybe combined with proper dressing I can fake it well enough.

You look more Cuban than Italian, remind me of Andy Garcia (pretty cool)

Was swanning around in Westwood Village earlier today and realized it's been a while since I took a picture standing next to my favorite fountain in Westwood Village, so I took a picture standing next to it.

Brooks Brothers grey herringbone tweed jacket and BB#1 stripe tie, Cutter & Buck OCBD shirt, Hermes pocket square (which is attempting to escape), Nordstrom yellow cable knit sweater vest, Polo Ralph Lauren grey flannel trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes.

Around a week ago there was a post in a Facebook group about a March 20th 2017 online obituary of David Rockefeller which included a picture of David Rockefeller wearing a grey herringbone jacket and a yellow knit vest.

In the grand old tradition of monkey see monkey do, today monkey did.

Here's a close up of the shoes. They are Horween Chromexcel so you can't get them very shiny but they are very comfortable to walk around in.
