I found this thread a while ago and I had a great time going through and seeing all the amazing work people are creating. Finally I have something of my own to post here. I just finished this weekend bag after months and months of occasional work. The bag is unlined, with matte nickel hardware and completely saddle stitched by hand.

Very nice work mate. I'm sure you can relate to the feeling one gets after giving it a good wipe-down and stepping back to see the culmination of all those hours of work. A lovely feeling exclusive to saddle-stitching! :slayer:
Great detailing and proportions too.The colours compliment each other very well...I'm actually doing a hold-all in that exact colour scheme but in reverse (dark brown body with tan detailing).
Rock on!

Thanks man!
I think that lovely feeling in this case was relief.

But yes, it's a great feeling when you come to the end of a big project and it ends up turning out well after (at least in my case) all the potential problems along the way. Of course, I'm already thinking about what's next. Be sure to share some pictures of that when you're finished. Based on your past work, I'm sure it'll look excellent.

I haven't posted in a while but wanted to post these bracelets we recently made in support of national breast cancer awarenss month. Each one is unique, hand dyed veg tan, and 100% of the sales (I'm not a fan of "for sale" plugs, but this is for a good cause) will be donated to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research and patient support. http://fridayandriver.com/collection/breast-cancer-awareness-month-bracelets/

New to leather crafting, recently made this backpack out of some calf and goat leather.
Still have a lot areas I need to improve on but quite happy with the outcome.
