Thinking about picking these up. Japanese brand, made in Japan, but off the SF radar... http://i.lumine.jp/shop/g/g106080007050002/ Not selvedge, but only around $100. The denim quality is pretty nice, certainly worlds better than Uniqlo, which is the other budget option around here.

These look decent, so they're Beauty & Youth?

How's the fit?

Uniqlo isn't bad... I think they actually make good jeans. I just got a pair of grey regular fit Uniqlo's, and they're nice. My raw blue uniqlo's are cool too.

Actually the brand is called "Monocro". Beauty & Youth is one of the stores of the retailer United Arrows (although I'm not exactly sure what the difference between the United Arrows mainline and B&Y). I didn't try them on, but from the jeans I saw in the store as well as the pics they look like a slim-ish/normal fit, along the lines of APC NS.

whats worng with the RB's? I actually just picked up a pair and compared to all the other grey denim I have or have tried on they are df. my fav. The denim is selvedge, the color is perfect, it is a fairly heavy denim (many of the grey I've treid is flimsy and lightweight), The fit is perfect (I'd say about between APC NS and Rescue), cant really find anything wrong with them, the only other grey I've tried that is comparable is the NDG regular fit.

i like the rb11 but its inseam is 34.

i'm looking for grey jeans in 28 or smaller waist with a inseam 30/32 though. i don't like to hem my jeans so thats out of the question.

well that right there knocks out RB, Dior, APC, and NDG... Nudie come in a 32 length but I personally am not a huge fan of them, alot of people love em tho, not sure what else you'll find in grey that ur not gonna have to hem.

I have a pair of Samurai S5000bk's that I'm working on right now.. they fade to a nice black/light grey contrast. Also just got a pair of NDG greys, they fit pretty similar to my 5000's. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3132/...d7a79c.jpg?v=0 Just gave them a soak and now they fit less baggy. Really liking everything about these jeans, highly recommend em. EDIT: why won't my image show? :/
