I'm diggin' all of those, but the black Ottawas are pretty great - a very under-rated pair.

I love the Dune Ottawas. If I didn't have a natty CXL pair of Alden Tankers, I'd probably have a pair in my closet...

I love the black Ottawa as well. I wish they had a Diesel or Edward with black leather and a brown/antique welt. It's a good look.

Greetings everyone! I am excited to be here as a heritage boot collector I am super interested in trying Grant Stone out. Have heard nothing but great things. As soon as I get my sizing nailed down I will be placing an order. Thinking about either the Roo or the natural boots.

Not sure where you're located, but just a word to the wise. I have roo boots, and I love them, but they are not warm at all. Below 40 degrees, my feet get freezing cold when wearing them.

Thanks for that tidbit of advice. I had not thought of that at all. I knew the leather was thin but did not even cross my mind that it would be cold. Given that, perhaps it would be better summer boot though?

That's how I use them. I wear them in autumn and spring and occasionally in summer (I don't really wear boots much during the summer, aside from hiking boots.) They feel really lightweight compared to my other boots and the green ones look great with a dark pair of jeans.

Just have to settle on my correct size. Seems like all of my GYW boots are different sizes and it makes me nervous to order one and have it be off.

Just arrived today, a pair of the new Edward boots in the Red Waxed Deer. I looked them over thoroughly--no sign of tick bites or bullet holes.

The Edward boots in the Cognac Ecbatana look tempting too but I'm going to hold off on them for now.

New Diesel in black waxed commander looks nice. Won't be replacing my Edward in the same leather, but I've definitely been liking a lot of the new makeups.

Personally, I have still been debating getting the dark oak roughout Edward. I have no brown boots or shoes at all currently. Think that's my favorite current option.

I used the Edwards almost daily last year during fall/winter and couldn't like them more. Since I use quite a lot of public transport which gets rough on my city I love that they can take a beating and still look great. I'll try to post a pic of them later, it's been around a year since I have them (didn't get much wear this spring-summer, admittedly).

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
