Thanks for the comments. I have been noticing a shift in what looks good to me. Since I got a boot that is not my standard moc toe, I am wanting more boot to show. My green Kudu, and rust Kangaroo boots tell a great story of their lives. My Kangaroo was definitely a fighter and I like to see it! I am trying to navigate between the styles. Thanks again.

For those with the blucher, would you take your normal Diesel size? I have an Edward in 9E and Diesel in 9.5E, both feel ok, likely more towards the 9.5E.

Maybe a 9.5D?
@GrantStone any opinions on sizing recommendations next time Maduro is available so I know in advance?? 😅

If you wanted to send a birds-eye photo of you wearing the 9E and 9.5E that would help. That being said, if you feel the 9.5E feels better in general, the shoe fits the same so 9.5E would be the one.

Sure! I’ve attached some photos. The Diesel is 9.5E in CXL and the Edward is 9E in Loden Suede. Both are with thicker wool socks.

Both of these boots look like they are well broken in and a good fit. However, it looks like you are using up all of the last and then some at the ball, so I would stick with the 9.5E. Shell won't be as forgiving as the likes of suede, so giving yourself enough room from the first wear would be best.

Will do!! Presumably no ETA on next Maduro? I’m guessing probably around when this past preorder batch is ready

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
