Original looks better, IMO. I am not a fan of the

fed lapels and shoulders on that jacket.

I understand your disdain for navy trou, but I think they look better than the ash grey you've suggested.

I've highlighted the resulting gap in red.

As a personal matter, I'd prefer to see the lapels a tad wider. I've highlighted in green how much wider I think they could stand to be.

Sorry, I didn't do a full foof. That glen plaid is a pain to work with in Photoshop and I figured this method would be just as effectively illustrative.

I think this is more informative

They will, granted you give them to a decent alterations tailor. Most of your trousers have what my uneducated eye would call a seat issue. I assume most of your trousers have excess fabric under the waistband in the back and a seat that is too full. Get that fixed and you will have a much cleaner trouser leg without tightening the actual trouser. Most people here think that slim fit=proper fit. This needn't be the case.

Lot of things needed to be fixed--including the front balance, again. What's going on, foiks?

If this isn't bespoke, things like dropped shoulders/posture really throw the front balance on most coats. In fred's case, his shoulder... and looks a bit backwards leaning.

I think sometimes the front balance issue is not as severe as it looks in these photos. Often the camera is placed too low (so the center is below the waist) or the lens creates some barrel distortion (making patterns spherical vs. perpendicular). Also, a lot of people stand too erect when their taking a photo causing the front to lift up.

nevertheless.... I think Foo has done an excellent job pointing out a common fit problem. I really enjoy these Foofed shots and have learned quite a bit about how I want my own stuff to fit.

- The issue is is static photography.. If this was a video of you stationary & camera circling, the back issues won't be so noticeable..
- Also the cloth looks to be soft which just shows up everything
- I learn't this through trial & error with Ethandesu as I would send him pics & say WTF & then visit him & say START AGAIN.. Ethandesu would say WTF there is nothing that bad IRL.. Then he did a small video & BANG! We have a new format..
