What kind of sole are you guys going for? Also, are you going with a straight (non-brouge) cap toe?

I think we are going with perforated cap toe. I would even go with the plain toe. I think we are deciding between dainite and leather soles. My preferences are for leather soles but if majority wants dainite I will go with dainite.

Just wanted to say thanks to Steve as I received my tobacco austerity brogues late last night. They are beautiful! Would have loved to wear them today and get some real life pics up, but I'm attempting to show some restraint until the nano protector I ordered arrives. Anyone have any tips for application?

I have nano protector and I sprayed the crap outta my loafers. Some water dropped on the loafers, a tiny bit and it did not bead. Others who have used nano protector please chime in.

Did you apply it properly - i.e. - brush the suede, apply an even coat, let dry, apply a second coat, let dry? I have spilled coke on my chukkas at a movie theater and had it roll off. Easy to check before you head out into the world: after the second application is fully dry, hold the shoe over a sink and pour some water over the toe box. If it doesn't roll right off then something is not as it should be.

Hello guys,

I spoke about this MTO with Steve earlier and thought I'd ask you now if you're interested to join.

It's a real classic we're going with this time: A simple, dark brown suede chukka with three eyelets.

Specifications:

Model: 80176
Last: Soller
Dark brown (chocolate) suede
Single Dainite sole

It'll look like the chukka on the picture below, although with three eyelets:

Here's another picture. This time with three eyelets, although not in dark brown suede:

Contact @steveyoo1983 if you're interested! These chukkas will be awesome for the coming fall!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
