I have a quick question. Does the height of the toe box differ much between the MH71 last and TG73 lasts? The MH71 (only G&G last I've ever tried on) fits me really well, and I understand that the TG73 should fit about the same, but from most pictures I see of the TG73 lasted shoes, the toe box seem a little lower compared to the MH71. If this is true, I'm wondering if the difference is significant or negligible. Thanks.

In my case the difference was significant. I could not take the same size in both lasts. TG 73 for me was just to narrow. We have had discussion about this in this thread you might want to search my posts on this thread.

fwiw, i take the same size in both lasts, and find them both to be supremely comfortable.

I love these.. Not normally a monk fan, but between the Deco last and the vintage chestnut finish.. They are up there for me.

Thanks for your feedback on the TG73 last. Having dug a bit more thoroughly into this thread, it seems like TG73 could either be similar to or tighter than MH71 depending on the particular foot it's on. I think a slightly narrower toe-box, especially at the pinky side of the shoe, would be OK for me, but I'm concerned that the toe-box itself would be too low. I guess the only way to know for sure is to try them on via an online shop. Now I need to decide if I really want to take the plunge...

yeah, as with all shoes, all the information in the world wont nail it down. a try on is necessary to truly get it right.

Same here. But everyone's foot is different. I find the GG06 longer or roomier but don't know if I could size down - so I don't buy it.

i found the mh a little tighter too. straightened itself out with a couple of wears on a loafer

that is the only last i dont have. its the only last i am not in love with.
