Hello, I hope this is the right forum and that maybe some one can give me some insight on this question.

Long story short, I've been wearing Polo Ralph Lauren for 40 years, since I was a teen in the early 80s. Although I have tried countless other designers, I keep coming back to his products as the style and fit really appeal to me.

And my second obsession is saving money, so I typically try to get his clothes on sale. I've been watching this particular new polo for a couple months and was wondering if anyone has any idea when the typical cycle is for it to go on sale? I want to wear it this Spring, but if it doesn't go on sale soon, I'm just going to go ahead and pay full price. Thanks!

Not an answer to your question, but the model in the ad looks like a total clown.

At least this guy didn't pop his collar.

Ralph Lauren, like most brands, has two seasonal sales -- one mid-season and one end-of-season. The mid-season excludes designer lines such a RRL and Purple Label, but includes Polo, which is considered their mainline. You can expect 25% off mid-season sales and upwards of 70% off end-of-season sales. I don't know when their mid-season sale starts.

if you really like it then get it. Don’t worry about it going on sale.

RL does have a few seasonal sales but to be honest I’m not really sure when.

Friendly advice: Your posts will draw more comments (and be more "evergreen") if you state the subject of your query more directly in the title... Generic phrases like "hopefully not a stupid question" don't tell us anything. Also there are no stupid questions...
