I saw three on Sunday close-up but still can't bring myself to like them.

That was actually the view that surprised me the most... not as bad as the pics made it out to be... but it's no raving beauty.

took my usual cab ride home from work in a Hyundai Sonata taxi on Friday evening to be reminded I need some kind of Ferrari in bianco:

Nice car!

There's one of these always parked outside Terroni on Beverly in LA. I like them, much more compact than photo's suggest. I saw a muscly fella getting into a black one outside the G-Star store on Melrose, the guy had a huge Ultimate Fighting/Affliction decal emblazoned across the hood

^^^A black one was parking on the street last evening as I was walking the dog. It was nice, and had a terrific exhaust note.

the SLR does look great in person. The proportions are extreme, the lines are crisp and tightly pulled, the long hood and wheelbase are insane, the wheels and tires are insane, and it sounds good... I also see them fairly frequently and I saw a dark gunmetal colored one most recently.

Of the three cars that the SLR was included in the same class as, at the same time, however, the Enzo, the C-GT, and the SLR, the SLR wasn't of the same cailber. That, or Paris Hilton's ****** really might affect the used sports car market, because SLRs go for less than half what they cost new and will continue to get cheaper, C-GTs cost more, and Enzos cost double or triple.

That was Britney's ******, getting out of Paris' SLR.

Word is that the Carrera GT is about half its original price now. And people are still crashing them and the Enzo, so I'm surprised the reducing supply isn't upping demand.
