@ahjota welcome back! Two things from my side:
1) Both of those EZ pants are going to fit a lot more "EZ" than the Sashiko fabric, which contracts a bit in the dye process. You can see that in the online fit pics as well. I think that you're going to dig the fit a lot, and the taper is absolutely the same.
2) Waffle Corduroy is more or less a soft, luxe corduroy with a slight cross-hatch effect. But for the most part you're getting a rich dark brown cord pant. It's fairly thick, so most people will be busting it out in early fall.
3) Raindrop Twist is about the same weight and a similar hand, but it has a non-linear weave and doesn't have the typical wales of corduroy. It's amazing, and both of these are seriously comfortable.
Outside of a pending special run of Sashiko for Kapok, these are going to the last EZ pants that we run, so it's definitely a great opportunity to grab a pair or two if you like the shape. I'll most likely never do another self-belt item like this, so also a good chance if you're into that detail.
Much appreciated! And it's a shame you're not going to run them anymore, but I understand. I'll grab at least one. Like I said I think the fit is great, and the self-belt is a cool touch -- I've worn it more times than not.
