@ahjota welcome back! Two things from my side:

1) Both of those EZ pants are going to fit a lot more "EZ" than the Sashiko fabric, which contracts a bit in the dye process. You can see that in the online fit pics as well. I think that you're going to dig the fit a lot, and the taper is absolutely the same.

2) Waffle Corduroy is more or less a soft, luxe corduroy with a slight cross-hatch effect. But for the most part you're getting a rich dark brown cord pant. It's fairly thick, so most people will be busting it out in early fall.

3) Raindrop Twist is about the same weight and a similar hand, but it has a non-linear weave and doesn't have the typical wales of corduroy. It's amazing, and both of these are seriously comfortable.

Outside of a pending special run of Sashiko for Kapok, these are going to the last EZ pants that we run, so it's definitely a great opportunity to grab a pair or two if you like the shape. I'll most likely never do another self-belt item like this, so also a good chance if you're into that detail.

Much appreciated! And it's a shame you're not going to run them anymore, but I understand. I'll grab at least one. Like I said I think the fit is great, and the self-belt is a cool touch -- I've worn it more times than not.

Count me among the sad that the sneakers are no more. I thought I had finally found my brand, and then, after two purchases, Mike announced that he was rolling back the product line. Ah well, I feel that that's the way with all Epaulet products I fall in love with. Every time they Mike nails the perfect intersection of price, quality, and understated stylistic sensibilities, there's an announcement six months later that the market's flooded, and he has to axe the product. I'm not still salty about the the Wilshire being discontinued, not at all.

Damn, I guess I waited too long to pick up my second pair of Sashiko EZs. I always wanted to put together a suit but the colors that were suits were never my style.

Yeah, bummed that these are gone. I just got used to my 1 pair of EZ and was thinking about buying more now .......poof!

Speaking of missing products, I loved those shoes that were made in Canada. The derbys. Those were great.

looking for some sizing advice...going to jump into my first doyle. do y'all generally recommend sizing up 1 (ie I wear a 42 suit jacket so order a 44). Looking for a more traditional chore coat fit.

@ahjota very cool, I think you're going to really like them. It's a really cool shape, but I'd say it was a seasonal item for us -- like the Kamigata -- and we'll move on to some new designs for the Fall. I might run them again as a special if I come across a fabric that really speaks to that shape.

@Louys Oh don't misunderstand me, I'm not killing the sneaker line, I'm just not running it as aggressively as I had been. But we've been offering them as stock items in one form or another since 2013 at this point, so they've been around.

The main change is that I'm not doing preorders. We don't sell the same volume of units that we did before, and I found that the unavoidable delays were harming our reputation more than the extra sales were helping. If I can't get reliable delivery windows for special projects, then I can't do them with that vendor anymore.

@apolloali I have a really bright french blue EZ pant that i'm going to run for Kapok. I can make some extra units if anyone on here wants them as a preorder item. I'll post up the color tomorrow and you can all check them out.

@NorthCoast we still have most sizes covered in the sale EZ pants now... we might have something that fits you and the pricing is excellent

Ah yeah, and I'm with you.. I LOVED those Canadian shoes. A few guys on IG are still wearing them really well these days. They were a total failure at retail though, I can't really explain why. It just wasn't sustainable for me to produce any additional pieces. Same went for the goodyear welts that I did in Portugal. I think a big part of the issue with acquiring new shoe customers is that many guys are skeptical of a brand that does both clothing and footwear. There's a perception that the shoes are somehow not on par with a footwear-only brand.

Which I guess makes sense. I'm always impressed with the branding that Greats has done, but if they suddenly launched a collection of khaki pants, I doubt that their customers would just assume that the pants are on pair with the sneakers.

Most guys will take their typical size in the Doyle and you'll have that chore coat fit. You might want to size up for a Sashiko one, as they run a bit slimmer after their wash/dye process

@Epaulet

Thanks for the sale mention but I'm a 38. :)

As to the Canadian shoes, I wear my buffalo derbys all the time.

Are we still expecting new Wilhelm jeans this week?

@duff406 yup, should be finished on Friday. I won't be able to shoot them on a model till next week, but I can take some flat studio pics and offer them up for sale once they're in-hand. We're getting black-on-black, optic white, and a restock of raw indigo.

What about the Doyles w/ ikat patches?

@losrockets almost finished.. I seen't them yesterday! The ikat patches were just used on the rear elbows, which is actually really rad and understated.

@Teger have done that!

Ok I'll bite... @Epaulet what makes that chambray so special? I was currently checking out a bunch of different ones, so perfect timing.

It comes from Kuroki mills, and it's a 6oz, four-season weight. The color is called "Mizuwari," which means "mixed with water." It's a gorgeous and complex weave of natural indigo tones which gives it a unique look. It's one of their more expensive shirtings, but I got a great price on it, so we'll put it out at $145 with a 15% discount at launch. We'll style it with off-white thread and off-white buttons. With the single pocket, I think it's going to be super boss.
