@Epaulet I know we're not even in the thick of summer yet, but...

If you run into any jobbers with some really great casentino fabric — thinking a dulled orange, jewelled green, or even something in a rich navy/purple — would you even consider running that as a doyle? I'm sure there'd be enough interest for something like like. Slightly luxe in the vein of that REDA fresco doyle you had a last year that I keep reaching for.

Ah man I LOVE this idea... and I was just talking with @jah786 about sourcing some Casentino just a few weeks ago. Agreed that it would be dope, but it has the reputation of being difficult to execute.. and a few emails to the mills have gone unanswered. But it’s definitely on my radar, and you’re totally right!

What are the "PT" style collars for the individualized shirting? I did not see a pic of them on the website

Solaro Corduroy

Created at the start of the 20th Century, "Solaro" weave uses complimentary but distinct tones in the warp and weft. The result is a subtle sheen that catches the light and imparts extra contrast onto the corduroy wales. Although eminently wearable, this corduroy looks like nothing else out there and its effortlessly dressed up or down.

This pure cotton is woven at Italy's Angelico Mills, and its 10oz weight is appropriate for four season wear. It has one of the finest hands that we've ever felt on any cotton fabric, and will quickly become a beloved and oft-worn staple of your wardrobe.

Until midnight Tues 1/28, use code solaro15 to save 15% off our usual pricing and you can order any of our trouser shapes with normal stock details. After the promo period ends, we'll offer these fabrics at full price with all customization options.

Check out the options and read more here...

Just got my Tokudai Pique Sinclair- my first Sinclair, in my Doyle size. Two questions:
-It's significantly tighter than my Doyles. Anybody else find sizing irregularities from their normal size?
-Anyone else notice white seam stitching showing through along the shoulder line, almost like it's been stretched a bit?

It’s been an unseasonably cool, wet spring here in Detroit but the weather was FINALLY appropriate to break out the Thom Browne oxford cloth double breasted jacket. This fabric is awesome and a nice alternative to the seersucker and chambray jackets I normally grab this time of year. I’ve got the matching trousers and I’ve worn them a few times already but I don’t know that I’d ever wear them together as a suit.

One nice thing about a cotton jacket is how they “break in” and develop a sort of patina and fade over time and I expect this will age very nicely.

Same on the fit and my first Sinclair. Was thinking I would need to return it for a 42, since 44 Doyle is too big (and I wear a 44 in suiting from EP). However, that's not necessary since it's definitely smaller than Doyle sizing (or, at least sashiko sizing...). I just checked the EP site and the sizing is definitely off from the posted specs....

Didn't notice the seam but i'll check that later.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
