Can anyone comment on the sizing for the new EG vans? On Haven's site it says they fit a half-size big, but I've been looking around and it seems some others say the fit shorter than normal vans. Is the sizing on this iteration different than earlier ones?
I have a narrow foot so I usually go down 1 full size in slip-ons to prevent heel slippage. I went 1/2 down in last year's EG Vans and it was too big.

Don't know if this is the appropriate thread to post this, but I was wondering if I could get opinions on the fit for my newly acquired Patchwork Bedford? I think it looks pretty good with a comfortable fit, but wanted to get thoughts from the seasoned EG connoisseurs. Please ignore the wrinkly clothes; honestly just threw a quick random assortment just so I could take simple pics to ask fit advice with. Would appreciate any thoughts!

would look better with baggier pants but if your wardrobe is slim-fit I would get an XS.

Yeah my pair from last year is def .25 bigger than my regular pro model, both in 10.5. You should've maybe gone down 1.5

Sizing is way weird for these shoes

@ricebomb can you return for a size down? To me the profile is way too large. But if you prefer the slouchier fit def go with a wider pant

Unfortunately, the store I bought the Size Small never stocked XS, however, I was able to find an XS from another store, which I ordered and will be receiving later this week. Hopefully that will be able to help hone in on which of the two sizes is a better fit, and I can return the one that is less ideal.

Yes, that is pretty much my major concern, which I've had even with previous Bedford iterations. I usually find everything fits pretty well with XS, however, the sleeves are so short, they look pretty ridiculous with my long arms. That being said, I guess it's worth having a peace of mind to ensure I have the right size, and I was able to track down another size XS, so will try that out once I receive it and see which of the two will be the more ideal fit!

Maybe the Bedford isn’t the right jacket for you?

@ricebomb i think it looks good man. if you look up eg on instagram all the cool south korean bros wear their stuff loose. gives you better layering opportunities too.

Sounds good, thanks. I think my true size in most Vans is probably a 12.5, which is unfortunate since they don't make that. Went with a 12 for these though and it seems like they should fit OK.

Hi guys, so the EG x Barbour Thompson jacket is about $250 more from Nepenthes than Bureau, Nepenthes said its due to import costs and the jacket being made in the UK. Kinda bizarre but anyway, can anyone please point me to a small in olive or sand? I think End has them but I try to avoid them when at all possible. Thank you in advance!

Disregard, I bought the navy version for $380 shipped to the US from Urban Excess, kinda crazy that’s 50% of what NNY is charging.

@kbrenns Why is it crazy? its a made in UK product so attracts tariffs to the USA as such. Its always going to be cheaper to buy something in its country of origin.
I understand how tariffs work, but even post-Trump we on this side of the pond aren’t getting hit with 50% markups on moderately priced cotton clothing.

The reason for the price differences between regions for the Barbour collaboration are because Barbour is manufacturing and distributing the products. They are selling it to all stores at a set price that covers shipping and tax for that region. They also decide the MSRP for each region. Most larger companies do this whereas many smaller companies just ship the products to the stores and let tax, shipping, and pricing be their problem to deal with. This is why you will see small Japanese brands have completely different prices in every store outside Japan. Overall this is a stupid mistake on Barbour's part and makes it a mistake for any American shop to stock the Barbour collab. Technically stores are not allowed to ship the Barbour collaboration internationally. However Barbour does not enforce this in any way which is why you can buy it from UK stores at a drastic price difference.
Overall, since Barbour is the one factoring in the cost of shipping and tax and paying it themselves, they are adding a very generous amount onto the wholesale price to cover themselves. In general it would be very surprising to see a duty bill on a shipment from the UK or Asia reach America and be more than 35% than the total order cost.
