I am looking some of these newly released field jackets and like the idea of casually layering over a sportcoat, say, unbuttoned. The newer FJs seem a little shorter and thus the sportcoat underneath would probably peek out a good inch or two on me. is this a tragic look to avoid (short jacket over long jacket) :embar: or would you just say eff it and layer with confidence? :slayer:

All-

I bought the Eidos Ragosta in 56 in Blue from Marcus's site but it doesn't fit me quite right and it is sold out on there now.

I am planning on returning it but would sell it at my cost less $50 to someone in the United States to avoid paying shipping fee's back to Europe and re-stock fee.

It is Brand New, I just tried it on and nothing else.

Shoot me a note if interested.

Thanks

Gotta disagree with those who say avoid. Layer with confidence, particularly when it comes to Eidos. Seems to me it'd be much more in keeping with the spirit of the brand.

I know I am in the minority with this opinion but there is no mathmatical equation that yeilds great style. If you like the coat and want to wear it over tailoring because you feel like it then go for it. My tailored jackets are longer than many of the field jackets I wear. I like the juxtaposition of rugged and casual and mixing two seemingly unrelated things. That's what I like and life is too short to worry about what is "correct" all the time.

Guidelines and rules are great for when you are exploring something new and getting your bearings. But after a while it's time to just ignore all that, have fun and express yourself. That's when the magic happens with most things, clothes included.

A quick preview from yesterday's fall 16 shoot with Hooman Majd. For those you who don't know Hooman, he's basically the real life version of the world's most interesting man. I am honored he agreed to participate. The full edit will drop mid to end on next week on the Eidos site.

Gentlemen, thanks for the inspiration.

Not sure when my wife and I will have our housewarming party for our new home, but when we do, I have my outfit chosen :fonz:

Hoping someone (Antonio probably?) can help. Looking for the raised stripe donegal rollneck. I've only seen it on Mevyn, and they only have XL left. Any other retailers pick it up? Thanks.

Visible Pick Stitching on Lapels and Pockets

  • It’s a mark of quality and craftsmanship

  • I like it when it’s subtle

  • I don’t like visible stitching

  • Doesn’t matter to me
