Today I found several pairs of raw jeans at a thirft store. No selvage, just raw, unwashed denim.

Should I just tear off the tags and start enjoying my new found loot, or are these worth more to a collector?

The first pair are GWGs (Great Western Garment) with a Lightning zipper, left-hand twill, and they're "made to fade".

The second pair are Lees. They are right-hand twill, Talon zipper, no coin pocket, and includes tags.

The third pair are Pitchriders. Yeah, I'm sure nobody has seen these before, they're made in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The denim is broken twill, Talon zipper, and a cool snap button.

The fourth pair aren't really jeans, I think that it is bull denim. They are a pair of Levi's Movin' On with stitching that would put 7FAM to shame. The denim is left-hand twill, Talon zipper, and a wicked Movin' On label.

Please note that I'm not really looking to sell these, I would just hate to start wearing them daily only to find out that they're collectible.

Isn't that Talon zipper quite rare?

Not really. Talon still makes zips, as part of Tag It Pacific, and they have repro'ed some old Levis zippers, but probably not the 42.

Wow, at the risk of admitting that I'm to old to be reading in this forum, I haven't seen Movin' On Levis since I was in junior high. Now all you need to do is find some Hang Ten tees and a puka shell necklace.
