How heavy is everyone's boots? My 13EE BHs are 1.3kg each and I was wondering if that leans towards the heavy or light end of the scale. I most interested in how heavy people's SD and MP boots are (I'm going to assume 10 inch steel toe cap SJs weigh a lot!).
My 13B and 12.5C SDs all weigh just under 1300g a piece. The taller boots (8" and 10" SJ) just slightly more at 1400-1500g each. No steel toes in my collection.

I wanted to post a quick follow up with an on foot pic.. decided to wear these out today for their maiden voyage and I’d say the initial fit and on foot feeling is really good. Kyle sized me the same size as my 55 last SDs, and fit is great on the 641 in length/width.

The arch isn’t nearly as pronounced as the 55, and that’s not a problem for me as they still feel comfortable and I don’t think will have as much of a break in. It definitely has a different feel in terms of gait, perhaps a little more springy given the up turned toe? Looking to get my third pair of whites later this year as I’ve been really happy with this and my SDs!

Man, I'm not even sure if that's heavy or not, and I'm a powerlifter.

I picked up the British Tan Chromepak Main Street boots that White's had up on ebay. I was selling an old pair of tan, C-shade Tricker's that I hardly ever wore, but do like British Tan as a color, particularly as a pull-up leather. The fit was a bit tight for being on the Barrie last, but they opened up nicely after breaking in just an hour or two. The pointiness of the toe took me a minute to get used to, since I mostly wear round-toe boots, but it's nice to have an option in the closet for more formal occasions. I have to say, they are extremely high quality for the price! Yes, they are not fully rebuildable, but this isn't a problem I'll ever have to confront, really. Obligatory ****** iPhone pics attached.

I love these, but as I have mentioned once or twice, for me the sole trim and stitching need to match (or be slightly darker in the case of these sort of medium-brown colour) the leather in order to complete the formal look. Sambam had mentioned you can do that with the french calf model so I am personally waiting for them to pop up on the website. As a White's rookie it might be a bit of a process.

But they are absolutely gorgeous, I know they are GYW but I think they will be the first pair that I buy. I think White's have done a great job on the MS, even though I know they seem to be a bit controversial on here, among the purists :)

Oh totally. I may be in the minority here, but I like what White's and other companies have done, creating make-ups to appeal to new audiences. This is what you do to grow your business. If you want these companies to stay around, you want them to be successful. For the price point, the MP & main street boots are pretty sweet.

Does the horween horsehide have the shell intact? From a durability standpoint water resistance/ scuff resistant, which leather is most recommended?
