Yeah, looks like chromexcel, hard to tell of brown or natural though. Looks light for brown and dark for natural.

Looks kind of like the Icy Mocha CXL that Viberg used.

It does seem about the same color as the Viberg Ice Mocha CXL, but i don't think it's a Chromexcel leather. Notice how the back of the tongue and interior is the same color as the outside leather, whereas with CXL the back of the leather is always lighter. And seems to have a different texture. I kinda like it... it's very basic but classic to my mind.

Yeah, I'm not sure--the wrinkles look like CXL sort of, but who knows.

@Grendel, fab pair!
do they have the half-slip?
it'd be great if u can do a close-up side profile photo of the heel +sole when u get a chance? tnx.

No half slip. Here's the specs from buildaboot, although I changed from the reduced heel to standard because the Vibram 430 doesn't extend back through the heel, so that makes the heel lower already in proportion to the front. I'll try to take a side pic tonight. I'm really glad I got these yesterday because today I went outside to 3 inches of slush on the ground and even more on the side of the road, so these were the perfect boots for the job.

pretty sure thats a commando sole and not a 430. Not sure if they share the same model number or not, but they def. are different.
