Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Does anyone have experience with the Vaquero bullhide leather? Whitesriver has a pair in vaquero/black cxl on eBay in my size for a good price. Thinking of pulling the trigger.

I love the leather and was very happy I could have a pair made in Vaquero.

@sambam Could you use that same benevolent omnipotence to "OK" Horsehide for the Smokejumper as well as all waxed flesh for the SD (along with Danite soles)... I mean you are all powerful at White's, are you not?

All waxed flesh has been available for all Whites products from engineer to semi dress. Working on the dainite option. It's a slower heeling process. It would slow my factory flow. But once we have the correctly designed heel base it will be available.

I just ok'd the MP in all of our oil leathers. Black, brown, red dog and distress. Smooth and rough out. Hope that helps.

I know you hate cxl and all, but are you aware waxed flesh is almost the same leather? Waxed flesh is cxl leather but with the roughout side waxed instead of the smooth side. A bit of sanding and a can of wax could get you what you desire.

Thanks! I was mainly curious about the color. I didn’t want something that was going to be too loud. I ended up grabbing the pair off of eBay.
