I have that impression too, yeah and think they sell quite some shoes, so I presume quite some experience. 👍🏻

I will report, of course.

Haha! 😹

Well, I'm pretty sane these days, at least I feel that way. I have sold 9 pair of boots in the since December and there are another 7 pair still to go. And then there will be some shoes leaving too.

Btw, I just want to say: I love this place! 🤗

I mean, apart from one, short comment from my favourite comedian, no reaction. No one asked, how many pairs - if at all - are left, nobody wondered if I were banned to a land where no shoes are allowed or was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Selling 17 boots, yeah, as you do. Business as usual.™

Seriously guys, you are awesome! 🍻

I wear the same size in the 130 last as I do the C&J 325 last. I'd say the 130 last is a little longer than the 325 last but not excessively so. This comes from owning a Coniston and Grasmere on the 325 last and an Elliot2 (Mahogany Grain) and King boot on the 130 last.
Neither are the best fit for my narrow feet with wide spreading toes (I prefer the C&J 378 and Cheaney 12508 lasts) but are wearable for me.

Okay, I will venture: why did you part from all those shoes and boots?

And here they are:

250114_2612_Cheaney-ElliotIIR-Mocha.jpg

The 'Elliott II R' and they are perfectly what I have hoped for. Got and wore them yesterday for a few hours as well as half the day so far now.

They fit superb. Like a minimally elongated 325. Instep is halfway between 325 and 4497s, I would say.
It was the awesome Ann Frith from The Shoe Healer, who mentioned that the last 130 would be a little bit sleeker than the 4497s and from the short time now, I would say they are probably also ever so slightly sleeker than the 325.

The leather is very supple and has a silk-mat glow, neither too casual nor too fancy, great balance. The burnishing is perfect in my eyes as it is so unobtrusive, that it just gives the impression of being a bit worn but it doesn't look like a decoration.

I adore the colour! This Mocha is a pure brown with no hue of whatsoever, it's like a coffee with a crema a bit brighter than the oily-black Espresso of my Tricker's boots.

All in all - the leather, the colour, the sleeker, quite elegant shape not to forget the impeccable workmanship - these are gorgeous. 🕺

Very nice! They look lighter colored than the mocha on the website.

Absolutely and I love that. I had said before:

That Mocha looks a little bit duller than the other Mocha shoes & boots, but according to Cheaney - I phoned with them too - it is the same leather. See their Mocha collection: https://www.cheaney.co.uk/mocha-t275

While this was about the impression of the leather itself, it also means that either my Elliott is a brighter than usual copy or that most of the Mocha shoes & boots are pictured darker than in the flesh.

The closest model to my boots on their site is the https://www.cheaney.co.uk/cheaney-hadley-d-penny-loafer-in-mocha-calf-leather-p1756

I have a Cheaney King boot in Mocha calf leather and it is significantly darker than this boot. The link below shows a similar colour to mine when new a few years ago though it has lightened a little since then and developed some colour variation.

The Edinburgh shoe I also own in Mocha is lighter though a little darker than your photographs. Again the website seems a close match to what I received.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
