Saw an S63 AMG Coupe in white. Looked absolutely phenomenal -- pure sex on wheels. It was also a lot shorter in length than I had expected.

My uncle is getting one next month

Sort of like people who drive the automatic version of a sports car when a manual is available for me.

Cadillac family front end looks great on the Escalade, kind of weird on the sedans

And a turbo V6 is a pretty decent choice for a family/livery sedan...no one cares about throttle response or turbo lag in those applications

I just can't imagine buying the CT6 though. What does it offer over any of the others? Cadillac thinks raising their prices makes them luxury. The reality is they need to offer more value at every price point to build trust. The Hyundai Equus had at least the brand discount.

Or go back to doing what they did better than anyone until a few years ago: offer S-Class size with E-Class price/performance. The DTS, IMO, was a much more differentiated product than any of the more recent Cadillacs.

I agree. Probably just livery companies. The car service I use has actually replaced their town cars with Escalades and XTS's and I do like riding in them. Better than the Avalons and minivans my NYC car service uses

But you can't beat Dial-7 (or do you use Carmel?) for value and convenience. I remember I used to get off a plane at JFK planning to take a cab, would see a mile-long line for cabs, call Dial-7 and have a car there within 8 minutes.

I love the idea of this but displaying the logo is tacky.

Quick question: Is the car tax for NY state set at 8.875%, same as clothes and things? Quick search online doesn't show this number. Would a dealer lie about that?

Never mind, I figured it out.

It is a very good idea and, if done correctly, can be a great addition to a well-designed room. I once saw an F1 Ferrari engine coffee table for $2X,XXX (this was a long time ago so I can't remember the exact number, but it was marsupialedly high).

And yes, the logo is ridiculously tacky.

Why the "parallelogram shape"? My initial reaction would be "someone didn't measure twice before cutting this glass"
