Hi there. I have a question for 80184 owners.

Not sure if this has been answered yet, but I recently got some cordovan Carmina jumpers in the Oscar last (80184) and like them overall except one thing - the backwards tilt of leg opening.

They are so tall that it pokes my pants when I walk. I suppose I could get extra long laces and wrap them around but would prefer not to.

Does this mellow over time with wear?

Just took delivery on my boots from the NYC store opening (polo suede jumper boots, Inca lasts with some fitting adjustments). Friend also got a pair of boots for herself (burgundy).

Congrats !! Awesome boots @rbhan12 and a great color. Did you go with leather or rubber sole?

Went with the tomir sole for both pairs. With the snow and what not of New York, leather soles can be tricky with boots.

I love those! Inca is amazing. If only they made a wide version.

How was yours modified?

They added space at the front of the foot on both inside and outside, and some at the instep. The Albaladejo family was there to help decide what additions to the last would be best.

Got some image illustrating the issue? Got some 80184 myself in cordovan but besides being a high jumper and cordovan being stiff in the beginning nothing else comes to mind on your issue

That’s awesome. I had no idea they could do that in store. What exactly do they do to add the space?

For Carmina MTO Chelsea boots in black calf, has anyone selected a non-black color for the elastics (side of boot)?

If so which color?
Any pics?

Thoughts on purple or navy elastics?
Too rakish/flash/trendy?

At the factory they can add pieces of leather to certain spots on the last to add space. Right now I'm thinking I asked for a *little* too much room at the instep--could've gone without the adjustment because I like to lace my shoes and boots tight without the eyelets touching.
