Hi all,

I'm chilling in San Francisco for a week. Was walking back to my hotel when I just happened to pass Carmina. Of course I made a detour and stopped in a few minutes. Albert was a great help. I believe he stated that he's the visual coordinator for the shop (which has been open only 2.5 months). Seems they offer a little care center for Carmina owners and Albert even demonstrated the technique for using a deer bone on Shell. Either way..nice visit and I'd recommend anyone visiting San Francisco pay a visit to the shop.

Really nice shoe boutique.

Actually shopping for high-quality shoes, and clothing in general, is a much more pleasent customer experience than the mass consumption in malls or shopping centers with large clothing brand stores.

I guess in the USA it is the same as here in Europe and Germany.

Best regards

Pascal

I want to share my pain with you

Today while commuting on my bike I was crossed by someone who pushed me off my bike and sent me flying while I was wearing my favourite pair of @Carmina cordovan shoes.

The shoes got scratched pretty badly on the side... If anyone has any good advice on how to revive them please let me know. I'll try with some cordovan cream and some deer bone tomorrow.

How sad :'(

Good thing about cordovan is it does ‘heal’ easily. Use a coloured cordovan cream rather than a neutral cream and they will be fine. As for the chap who pushed you off I have one word for him. Wanker !

A bit of colored cordovan cream and a bunch of brushing. I've had shells recover from worse...but it will take you some time to get those out.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
