Can you wear a sport shirt with a tie and sweater?

What I am wondering is if you can wear a sport shirt, a tie, and then a 1/4th zip sweater on top of that? I usually wear just the sport shirt and the sweater, which looks great, but the tie makes it look even nicer. Do you have to wear a dress shirt to do that?

The answer probably depends on how old you are. If you're under 25, yes; if not, likely no.

Here is an example of one of the shirts. I'm 15 and male, by the way.

That'll work, but here are a few things I would recommend. 1) Make sure the collar on the shirt fits your neck well. Sport shirts are not usually sized by neck and sleeve. If when buttoned all the way up, there is a significant gap between the collar and your neck, don't wear it with a tie. 2) Choose your tie carefully. I'd recommend a knit tie with a shirt like that. 3) Personal preference, but I like to have a bit of my shirt cuff stick out from under the sweater cuff. Good luck.
